Attended school and graduated from Pineville High School in 1955. Lettered in Football and Basketball for 4 years each. Was all-conference Center on the team that beat Middlesboro 80-0 in 1954. I also was 2nd team All- Conference on the 1953 undefeated team that stopped a 21 game winning streak of a highly rated Middlesboro team by a score of 7-0.
